Images released of man police want to speak to about thefts from shops This is Leicestershire -- CCTV images have been released of a man police want to speak to about four thefts from shops. The incidents being investigated took place in the Mountsorrel, Ashby, Birstall and Oakham areas. In one of the incidents, a man entered the Co-op store in Rothley Road, Mountsorrel, at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 26, and stole a number of bottles of alcohol. Two of the other incidents occurred in Wanlip Lane, Birstall, on Monday, November 18, and Burley Road, Oakham, on Thursday, September 12. On those occasions, the shops were entered and a large quantity of alcohol was stolen. The fourth incident happened at 6.20pm on Saturday, September 14. Two people entered the Co-op store in Derby Road, Ashby, and placed bottles of spirits in their trolley and attempted to leave the premises without paying. Officers are also investigating the theft of number plates from a vehicle parked in Norman Way, Melton, on Thursday, September 12. Police released the CCTV images yesterday. Police community support officer Jason Harriman, who is investigating the incidents, said: "We are linking these thefts and would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the man in the images, even if you're not 100 per cent sure we would still like to speak to you as we can quickly eliminate people from our inquiries."
