This is Nottingham -- AN ELDERLY man has died in hospital five days after his car collided with a police car. The crash happened just before 2.30pm last Tuesday in Green Lane, Clifton, at its junction with the A453. The 95-year-old man's Vauxhall Corsa collided with a police Volvo which was answering a 999 call. The pensioner was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre but died on Sunday. The female police driver was treated for shock. A Notts Police spokeswoman said the incident is being reviewed by the force's Professional Standards Department.
