![Teignmouth police warning over thefts from cars]()
This is South Devon -- TEIGNMOUTH police have issued a warning to motorists after a spate of thefts over the last fortnight. The Teignmouth neighbourhood policing team say that vehicles in Teignmouth, Bishopsteignton and Shaldon have been targeted. PCSO Kelly Beer of the West Teignmouth Neighbourhood Team said: "If you own a vehicle please ensure that it is always parked securely and safely ensuring all doors and windows are closed and secure. "Park your vehicle in a safe and well lit area, using secure car parks if possible. Please also ensure and that all valuable items, including Sat Navs and cradles, Ipods, mobile phones and money are removed from your car, especially during night time hours, or locked securely in your boot." Anyone who sees suspicious activity should report it to police on the non-emergency number 101 or 999 if it is an emergency that requires immediate response.
