![Police appeal for help finding missing man, David Palin, from Crewe]()
This is Staffordshire -- POLICE are appealing for help finding a 45-year-old man. David Palin, 45, who lives near Hyde Park in Central London but originates from Crewe, Cheshire, was reported missing at around 10.30pm on Thursday 30 January. He was staying with a friend in Bottomhouse near Leek and was last seen at around 1.30am on Thursday 30 January. But concerns were raised when he was discovered missing at 4.30am. David is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build. He has short dark receding hair and a short greying beard. It is not known what he is wearing. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "We are growing increasingly concerned about David and would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact us immediately. "We have carried out extensive ground searches in the surrounding countryside and checked numerous fields and agricultural buildings with assistance from the Dog Support Unit. "If you live in the area please check your outbuildings, caravans and vehicles for David or signs that someone has been in them. "David is not from this area and with the cold wet weather conditions continuing he may have taken shelter somewhere. "We also want to appeal to anyone who may have been travelling along Ashbourne Road between 2am and 4am on Thursday morning (30 January) and ask anyone who saw anyone in the area to contact us. "We're working closely with officers from neighbouring forces, Cheshire and Derbyshire, and our inquiries to locate David will continue. "We would be very grateful if anyone who has seen him could contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 750 of January 30."
