CONCERNS have been raised over the possible switch-off of daytime CCTV in a Swansea Valley town. In a bid to reduce costs Neath Port Talbot council has suggested cutting £250,000 from its CCTV budget, which would see it reduced to an automated service except for out-of-hours monitoring and calls. Pontardawe Councillor Linet Purcell says that the move would mean the loss of CCTV cover during the day - a move she claims has been greeted with concern by the community and police...
