POLICE pledge to continue with their war against drugs after cannabis was found growing at a property in a Mid Devon village.

A raid was carried-out at a property in the Greenaway area of Morchard Bishop, near Crediton, where a number of plants and equipment used to cultivate the Grade B drug was found.

Officers say they will continue to search properties where drug use, dealing or growing is thought to be taking place following the incident on Friday, August 16.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "A quantity of cannabis plants were seized along with other equipment and paraphernalia consistent with drug cultivation and police enquiries are continuing with the occupants of the house.

"This operation indicates the positive action the police are carrying out to interrupt the cultivation, supply and use of illegal drugs within the area and further operations of this nature will be carried out in the future." Reported by This is 4 hours ago.
